“Cette famille nous a arrêtés sur la route pour partager leur barbecue. Ils nous ont ensuite fait visiter la ville de Taltal, au bord de la mer mais que l’immense désert sépare du reste du pays! Ville inconnue des plans touristiques, mais qui vaut pourtant le détour !”

Smile of the 68th day : Antonia, Gapar and Amalia

“By the sea, at Coquimbo, Antonia and her children, Amalia and Gaspar, welcomed us for the weekend. Antonia showed us her passion for mosaic and gave us her recipe for “hachis parmentier” (a popular French dish whose two main ingredients are mashed potatoe and beef mince) gilded with brown sugar!

“During a busy day rolling through the fog and cold, a man and his daughter gave us bread, our only meal of the day, we enjoyed it! We expect the panoramic photos of their weekend in Northern Chile.”

“In Los Villos, our host was a notary. You must know that in Chile, notaries don’t choose the city where they work, and Cristian has to go 200km away from his family, and just see them in the weekend”.
